Frelighsburg's 1879 Lansberg Building was renovated to create 13 condominium apartments with floor areas that vary from
925 to 1,700 sq. ft. Each unit also has a large balcony.

The roof of this historic Frelighsburg house was sliced open and replaced with a large shed dormer, creating
a spectacular guest suite.
The brick facade of a Frelighsburg residence receives a south-facing classical portico that incorporates twin
benches and aligns with a garden path leading down to the river.
A dark and dusty Sutton attic was transformed into a luxurious master bedroom suite, complete with
walk-in closets, private bath and a large sitting area under a new dormer window.
A superb but rather dark brick residence required a complete renovation plus the addition of a new kitchen/family room on
the sunny south side of the house which enjoys magnificent views of the historic Eccle's Hill valley.
A Dunham residence was expanded to meet the needs of a growing family. The extension includes music room, dining room, and
an updated kitchen with a breakfast nook.
From this Potton property the views of Jay Peak and Owl's Head are dramatic and mesmerizing.
The enlarged house will add spaces that command the view on three levels, including
family room, deck, living room and master bedroom suite.
This house's form was tailored to fit a
difficult site wedged between a rocky cliff and 30m setbacks from the shores of Dog Lake, Ontario. The zigzags
of the exterior walls follow the wedge, creating seven corner-window spaces with dramatic views of rock, water, trees and sky.

An extraordinary south-facing hillside site with vertiginous views of Jay Peak was
acquired by a client who favours a Modernist architectural vocabulary. The result
is an luminous open-plan multi-level space, oriented to the south and capped by a tilted roof plane. The three floor levels
are connected by a continuous spiral staircase. Service functions are packed into the north
side of the house; on the south side two double-height spaces and a mezzanine 'bridge' reach
out to the light and the view.

A new east wing is added to a classic brick residence in Stanbridge East, providing a master bedroom above as well as a
new covered entry and generous screened porch at the garden level.
A classic wooden residence was moved 100 feet back from the road and placed on a
new foundation. The addition provided a large garage and workshop as well as space
for a large master bedroom suite.
A Frelighsburg resident wanted to create a new apartment by connecting a house to a
garage whose roof was at a different elevation and angle. A square, 27-foot-tall tower now unites the two existing structures
and provides new views and living spaces, while mimicking the hipped roof of the historic convent building next door.
A tiny 19th-century Frelighsburg cottage needed to double its floor area on
a very modest budget. Basement playroom, 1st-floor kitchen, and 2nd-floor master bedroom all
received generous windows in response to the views and the need for light.
This charming Mystic house had received several additions over the years. This
time the kitchen was connected to a new sunroom that stretches out into the garden,
and new bedroom space was added above.
This tall country residence lacked a direct connection to the garden and fields
that surround it, so the low garage wing was transformed into a cosy library,
home office and covered porch.
A vintage wood-framed Mystic residence was severely damaged by fire, providing
an opportunity for a complete renovation, upgrade and expansion. A new north wing contains
kitchen, dining, entry, laundry and screened porch as well as a
self-contained 2nd-floor apartment with its own ground-level entry.
A charming clapboard and shingle house in Pigeon Hill receives a new addition in keeping with the old. The ground floor
gets a new kitchen, entry, and sunroom. Upstairs are two new bedrooms and two bathrooms.
A handsome Stanbridge East estate is being converted into an organic farming enterprise, its
aging farmhouse updated for a large and active modern family.
The project includes the renovation of several remarkable
post-and-beam barns as well the restoration and enlargement of the main farmhouse with new
eat-in kitchen, family room and terraces.
Based on an efficient 28' square footprint, a Lac Brome garage provides space for two cars, workshop, garden equipment,
attic storage, plus
a covered porch for wood storage.
A superb lakeside property called for a complete makeover. An ungainly 50s-era cottage
required a gut renovation; most partitions
and openings were modified, and the roofline was reshaped. A long screen porch and southern deck overlook the
lake with Owl's Head in the distance. The exterior received pre-stained cedar shingles.
Sutton farmhouse renovation: New south "living porch"; open floor plan; kitchen/dining. The challenge
was to make this tiny and cramped country house feel larger so that it could accommodate family and guests. The solution
was to create three separate bedrooms upstairs while removing all of the first floor walls, creating a
loft-like space that opens onto a broad southern porch. See
Decormag magazine July 2006.
